Michael Zimmer lives in Victoria, British Columbia, where it never rains, except in the winter (and sometimes in the summer). He has been playing guitar since the early 1970s. In another fifty years, he expects to have mastered it. His musical tastes include western classical music, flamenco, traditional folk, folk rock, country, late 70s and early 80s pop, and world beat. He concentrates on finger style guitar using nylon string classical guitars, and can’t flat pick worth a darn. He is getting better, now that he has a steel string acoustic. His musical playing style has been influenced by classical techniques, pattern picking, flamenco, and melody on chord playing. His body of work is modest, comprising perhaps a couple of dozen pieces, most of them instrumental.
